Description

The water vase sits upright in Guanyin’s open palm, balanced by the raised hand on the other side. A small seated Buddha appears in the crown; necklaces, layered sleeves and overlapping lotus petals give this compact carving plenty to discover up close.

Jingping Guanyin (净瓶观音) refers to the pure-water vase associated with Guanyin’s compassion and wisdom. Zuolian (坐莲), the name of this design, means seated on a lotus. Both describe the visible composition: a boxwood Kuan Yin holding the upright vessel above rounded petals.

Carved in small-leaf boxwood and finished by hand, the sculpture has a warm yellow tone with subtle grain. The natural finish lets the carving and wood take the lead. On the 16 cm (6.3 in) gold-accented version, bright lines pick out the crown, necklaces, robe edges and lotus petals.

A Small Sculpture, at the Scale You Need

The 8 cm (3.1 in) natural version rests easily on a palm. The 10 cm (3.9 in), 13 cm (5.1 in) and 16 cm (6.3 in) versions offer a larger presence for a shelf or altar. Facial proportions, robe folds and carved details differ between sizes; the individual option photographs show those differences.

Each order includes one statue in the selected size and finish, with its carved lotus base and a gift box. The stone display support, vessels, beads and greenery used in the photographs are styling props. Wood tone and grain vary naturally.

Keep indoors, away from damp, direct sunlight and strong heat. Dust gently with a soft, dry brush, and lift from the base to protect the raised fingers and vase.
