Pink Porcelain Guanyin Statue with Willow & Vase

Description

The green willow branch is the first contrast against the pink robes of this Guanyin. A slender vase rises from the lower hand, while a bare foot rests above the rounded lotus petals. One knee is raised, giving the figure an open, relaxed seated posture. For a home altar, the branch and vase make the familiar imagery of compassion the center of the display.

Willow, Vase and the Name Zuolian

The willow and water vase are established attributes of Guanyin, associated with compassion and wisdom. Here, their green and gold-colored surfaces make them especially clear against the pink body. The color contrast reinforces the traditional held objects rather than adding another figure or backdrop.

Zuolian Guanyin (坐莲观音) means “seated on a lotus.” This lotus-seated Kwan Yin has an open, uneven posture: one knee rises above the petals and a bare foot rests near the edge. The two finishes change the painted details around that same pink porcelain form.

Pink Glaze and Painted Detail

The supplier calls the porcelain Yuhong. In the Pink finish, the face, crown, robes and lotus are softly pink, with a green branch and a contrasting gold-colored vase. Pink with Gold Accents adds dark painted hair, defined eyes and lips, gold-colored robe and jewelry details, and deeper pink shading on the lotus. Its vase is pale pink.

The gold description refers to the visible color of the decoration. Each size has its own photographed sculptural details, particularly around the face, crown and lotus seat. The image for your selected option shows that specific version.

One porcelain statue is supplied in the selected finish and height. The length and width describe the statue, not shipping packaging. Allow room around the base and projecting branch when choosing a shelf or altar.

Lift with support beneath the body and base. Avoid holding the crown, fingers, branch or vase. For dusting, use a soft, dry brush without pressing on the painted details.
