Description

Palms Together, in Reverence

Hezhang (合掌) means joined palms, a gesture of respect and reverence. The cream-white hands stand out against the teal garment, making that gesture immediately visible on this Hezhang Quan Yin. The contrast continues between the smooth face and the finely textured robes.

Teal Robes and Cream-White Details

A raised necklace, ridged hair and an ornamental crown frame the lowered eyes and slight smile. The teal shawl curls away from the shoulders, while long folds settle around the crossed legs. The back view reveals the sculpted hair and the grain of the robe surface. This teal Kuan Yin statue is ceramic; its textured finish is visible in the close-up photographs of the hands and robes.

Room for the Whole Figure

The statue is approximately 48 cm (18.9 in) high, with a footprint measuring 35.5 cm (14.0 in) across and 28.5 cm (11.2 in) deep. Allow space around the crown and curling ribbons when choosing its position. One Hezhang Guanyin statue in Teal & Cream White is supplied with a brocade gift box.
