Pilu Guanyin Statue on a Double Lotus Seat
Price range: $549.00 through $3,299.00
A wide, richly modeled crown gives Pilu Guanyin a ceremonial character. Below it, the lowered eyes and hands resting in the lap draw the attention inward. Two rows of lotus petals support the seated figure. The white versions reveal the sculpted details through light and shadow; the decorated versions bring gold to the crown, robes and base.

Description
The crown is the most elaborate part of this Pilu Guanyin statue: curling relief, a small central Buddha figure and rounded ornaments beside the ears frame the face. The body is quieter. Broad robe folds cross the knees, the hands rest one above the other, and the two-tier lotus seat gives the figure a balanced outline.
Pilu Guanyin and a Place for Meditation
Pilu Guanyin (毗卢观音) is a name found in Chinese Buddhist devotional art, including at Puji Temple on Mount Putuo. In this Pilu Kuan Yin, an elaborate crown frames a quieter gesture: hands resting one above the other in the lap. That contrast makes the face and hands a natural focus for contemplation.
White Porcelain, Painted Accents or Gilding
The 22 cm (8.7 in) and 47 cm (18.5 in) white options leave the porcelain unpainted. The larger White & Gold version adds fine gold-colored patterns, black hair and red lips while keeping most of the body white. On the Gilded version, gold covers the crown, robes and lotus pedestal, setting off the pale face and hands. The gold decoration is a surface finish on porcelain.
Choose the Scale as Well as the Finish
The compact white figure is 22 cm (8.7 in) high, with overall length and width of approximately 15 cm (5.9 in) and 11.5 cm (4.5 in). Each larger option is 47 cm (18.5 in) high, 31 cm (12.2 in) long and 25 cm (9.8 in) wide. The two white sizes have different faces, necklaces and robe folds; the larger figure is not simply an enlarged copy of the smaller one. Use the photographs attached to each option when choosing.
Porcelain from Dehua
This contemporary crowned Guanyin statue comes from Dehua, Fujian. Its unpainted white options belong to the porcelain tradition known as Blanc de Chine. The white surface gives the crown and drapery a softer appearance; the gold-decorated options make the same kind of relief more prominent. The product video shows the 22 cm (8.7 in) white figure.
Display and Care
Includes one Pilu Kuan Yin statue with its attached lotus seat. Allow space around the crown and full base on a stable indoor altar, shelf or cabinet. Lift from beneath the base with both hands. A soft, dry brush is suitable for light dusting; avoid abrasives and rubbing the gold-decorated surfaces.
