A Moment of Stillness

The prayer beads are part of the sculpture, resting beneath the overlapping hands with a small tassel hanging over the lap. Wide folds spread around the knees and form the base of the figure. Above them, a small seated figure in the crown and a raised necklace frame the softly smiling face.

Jingsi: Quiet Reflection

Jingsi (静思), the supplier’s name for this design, suggests quiet reflection. The hands rest over a sculpted bead strand instead of lifting a vessel or branch. Together with the broad, low sweep of the robes, this gives Jingsi Kuan Yin a settled, inward-looking character.

Two Different Surfaces

The White option is described by the supplier as white porcelain. Its glossy surface catches the light along the sleeves, hands and folded robe. Teal & White is ceramic: the muted blue-green robes have a visibly textured surface, contrasting with the cream-white face, hands and beads. Each option has its own photographs; the teal back view and details show that finish only.

Teal & White is approximately 29.5 cm (11.6 in) high, 28 cm (11.0 in) across and 18.5 cm (7.3 in) deep. White is approximately 29 cm (11.4 in) high, 28 cm (11.0 in) across and 15.5 cm (6.1 in) deep. The seated form is nearly as wide as it is tall; check the full footprint when choosing a shelf or altar. One statue in the selected finish is supplied with a brocade gift box. The photographed prayer beads are sculpted details, not a separate wearable mala.

Care

Lift the statue by supporting the body and base, keeping pressure off the hands, crown and beads. Dust gently with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and soaking.
