Description

The halo gives this figure its distinctive outline. From the front, its flame-shaped edge surrounds the crown; the three-quarter view shows the space between the halo and the face. Downcast eyes, a small seated figure in the crown and folds across the sleeves reward a closer look.

A Flame Halo in Peach Pink

Foguang means “Buddha’s light,” the supplier’s name for this design with a flame-shaped halo. At 15 cm tall, Foguang Kwan Yin keeps that elaborate outline within a small figure. The single peach pink tone leaves the halo, crown and robe folds to be defined by light and shadow.

This pink Guanyin statue is described by the supplier as Yuhong porcelain. The photographs show a peach pink color throughout, without contrasting painted robes. The listed measurements include the full figure and lotus base; the height is approximately 15 cm (5.9 in).
